A Happy New Year to all of you! I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and stay nice and warm!

I want to take this time to thank all of you for all your support. I wouldn't be able to do half the things I do with the children without it. All your contributions, time and materials, are greatly appreciated. It's wonderful for me to be part of a team that cares so much for their children.

After the holidays we will study about winter. We will do some experiments with snow...if we get some real snow. We will also continue Readers' Workshop. This becomes one of the children's favorite parts of the day.

Again, thank you for all your generosity and help - I hope the season brings you and your family everything you wish for.

Friendly Reminder

Cookie Decorating Party

Our cookie decorating party is at 2:05 on Thursday. Parents and younger siblings are invited. We ask that older siblings do not come because teachers have requested they do not. They will be doing something special in their classrooms.

Pajama Day is on Friday. It is a fun, relaxing day so we dress for it. They may bring a stuffed animal, but please NOT one they sleep with, it could be a long vacation.

Meeting an Author/Illustrator

J

JoAnn Adinolfi visited the frog class and read her latest book to them.

The kids really enjoyed having her come. She did some movement with them and discussed drawing techniques.

A big thank you to Ava's mom for bringing JoAnn to our class and purchasing each of the children a signed book. It really was a special visit!
